Ed Shiller has earned distinction as a journalist, public relations consultant, workshop leader and media trainer.

His journalism career spanned 15 years, during which he held senior editorial positions with The New York Times News Service, Reuters News Agency, Radio Denmark and The Toronto Star. As a foreign correspondent based in Copenhagen, he contributed to The New York Times, Newsweek, The (London) Sunday Times, The Financial Times of London and many other leading newspapers and magazines.

Since entering public relations in 1981, Ed has developed and implemented communications strategies and programs and acted as spokesperson for numerous public- and private-sector clients. He has conducted public workshops and provided in-house media training since 1985; is the author of the country's foremost media relations manual, The Canadian Guide to Managing the Media ; has taught media relations and advanced writing at Seneca College, and has been a guest speaker at several colleges and universities across Canada.
